Demeter Press is a peer-reviewed scholarly press. It was the first book publisher focused specifically on the topic of motherhood/mothering. The press is named in honor of the Goddess Demeter, herstory’s most celebrated empowered and outraged mother. Brain, Child supports Demeter Press in its efforts to provide women with intellectual books that delve into issues that impact women and mothers.
